Customer Insights

The Customer Insights tab on the Analytics dashboard provides CRM-powered analytics. It uses your contact data and CRM variables to generate custom charts and visualizations.

Getting Started

  1. Navigate to Analytics & Insights from the sidebar.
  2. Click the Customer Insights tab (the third tab, with a people icon).

Chart Builder Dashboard

The Customer Insights tab displays the Chart Builder Dashboard, which lets you create custom charts from your CRM data.

The chart builder uses your CRM variables (the same fields used in web forms and by the AI receptionist) to generate visualizations. You can explore trends across any contact property you track.

How It Works

The chart builder pulls from your CRM contact data and the smart variables (customer information fields) you have defined. This means every field your receptionist collects -- from names and phone numbers to custom fields like "Service Type" or "Budget Range" -- can be visualized.

Available chart types include pie, bar, line, area, and funnel charts, as well as metric cards, data tables, text blocks, and heading elements.

Date Range

Unlike the Overview and Call Analytics tabs, the Customer Insights tab does not use the date range picker. Charts are generated from your full CRM dataset.

Exporting

You can export the Customer Insights dashboard as a PDF using the Export button in the toolbar. The export captures the current state of your chart builder dashboard.

Tips

  • Add CRM variables for richer insights -- The more customer information fields you define, the more dimensions you can chart. Consider adding fields like lead source, service category, or location.
  • Use with sequences -- Combine insights from this tab with automated sequences. For example, if you notice a high concentration of contacts from a specific city, create a targeted sequence for that segment.
  • Regular review -- Check Customer Insights periodically to spot trends in your customer base, such as growth in specific segments or changes in common inquiry types.
