Recording Scope Controls

Control Supported Details
Tenant-wide toggle Yes Enable or disable recording for all calls globally
Per-number recording Yes Set recording on/off per phone number
Per-location recording Yes Enable/disable recording per location in multi-location setups
Business hours only Yes Record only during specified business hours

Consent Workflow Options

Consent Mode Supported How It Works
Announcement only (one-party) Yes AI plays a recording disclosure at the start of the call. Call proceeds and is recorded.
Explicit consent gating (two-party) Yes AI plays disclosure and asks for consent. Caller must confirm. If declined, call continues unrecorded.
Can calls continue unrecorded if consent declined? Yes Yes. If consent is declined, the call continues without recording.

Multi-State Operations

Different states have different recording consent requirements (one-party vs. two-party). My AI Front Desk supports both announcement-only (one-party) and explicit consent gating (two-party) modes. You can configure consent mode per phone number or per location to comply with the laws in each jurisdiction. For complex telephony-layer requirements, consult with your telecom provider. My AI Front Desk's consent controls operate at the application layer.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is call recording per-call or global?
Recording can be controlled globally, per phone number, or per location. Per-call-type control is on the roadmap.
Do you support two-party consent?
Yes. My AI Front Desk supports explicit consent gating where the caller must confirm before recording begins. Calls can continue unrecorded if consent is declined.
Where is proof that the disclosure was played?
Every call record includes timestamps for disclosure_played, consent_response, recording_start, call_id, and disclosure_version.
Can I configure different consent modes for different locations?
Yes. Consent mode can be set per phone number or per location to support multi-state compliance.
What if a caller declines recording?
The call continues normally without being recorded.
